WATERPOLLUTIONPanJunming101921443Thefourbasicnaturalresourcesarewater,air,landandenergy.Weneedwaterformultipleusesandacertainqualityisrequired.Itsuseleadstothegenerationofwastewaterthatcancauseanimpactontheenvironment.AllkindsofbeautifulwaterWaterscarcityandpollutionhasbecomeofmostimportanceinrecentyears.Inthischapterwe’lldiscussbothfreshwaterandwastewatertreatment,eitherforreuseordisposalintheenvironmentwithoutpollutingit.DroughtPollutionApproximately300millionnationwidehavenoaccesstocleanwater.Furthermore,over700millionChinesedrinkfetidwaterbelowWorldHealthOrganizationstandards.Almost90%ofundergroundwaterincitiesareaffectedbypollutionand80%ofChina’sriversfailtomeetstandardsforfishing.Almostallofthenation'sriversareconsideredpollutedtosomedegree,andhalfofthepopulationlacksaccesstocleandrinkingwater.Ninetypercentofurbanwaterbodiesareseverelypolluted.Asyouknow,peopledependonwatertoliveon.Theyshouldbeinvolvedinfindingasolutiontothisproblem.Ithink,certaincountermeasuresneedtobetakenassoonaspossible.Tobeginwith,thegovernmentsofallcountriesaresupposedtoformulaterulesandregulationstodealwiththepollutionproblem.Inaddition,factoriesintownsandcitiesmustbeprohibitedfromdrainingwasteliquidsintoriversbeforetheyaretotallytreatedandpurified.Ifeeliftheyviolaterelevantrulesorlaws,theyshouldbefinedheavily.Certainly,therearesomeothercureswhichareworthadopting.Asfarasfutureprospectisconcerned,Iamsurethatgoodresultswillbeachievedinthisrespect.Riverswhichusedtobecontaminatedbyindustrialwasteswillbecleanedandfishwhichcouldnotlivethereafewyearsagowillbeagain.Toconclude,itseemsobviousthattomorrowwillbebetterandbrighteronlyifeveryonedoeshispartandtrieshardtoseeksolutionsforitscontrol.Thankyou!
