前言：FOREWORD和谐怀仁，木铎长传。壮也盛哉，职院气象。Withtheharmonyandawarenessofongoingprogressamongtheteachersandstudents,ZhuzhouProfessionalTechnologyCollegetakesonathrivingsight.始有丁酉之秋，建国八年，田心立本，鸿基初开。后历文革浩劫，经公立改制，筹校办工厂，谋转轨职教，跻全国百强，绎升格传奇……株洲职院三迁其址，九易其名，颠沛涅槃，弦歌不辍。Foundedearlyintheautumnof1957,thecollegewasconstructedatTianxindistrictandstartedtotakeitsshape.ThroughitssurvivalafterthecatastropheduringtheCulturalRevolution,publicinstitutionalsystemreconstructing,operationofthecollege-runfactoryaswellasitsfocusonvocationaleducation,thecollegehasnowgrownintooneofthetop100Chinesevocationaltechnologycollegesnationwidefromasecondarytechnicalschoolatamiraculousspeedofupgrade.Itstandsloftyandmajesticwithendlesspraisesdespitethreetimesofrelocationandninetimesofrenaminginitshistoricaldevelopment.循循然，树管理体制；兢兢然，谱教研华章。默默然，塑无私奉献；谆谆然，育满园芬芳。历代株洲职院人念“厚德、精技、笃学、致用”之训诫、树“团结、争先、务实、创新”之风尚、行化雨之春风、健自强之远志，乃明德新民、声名远播。美誉若群峰牵拥，苍苍若海；荣光似诸流汇聚，荡荡为洋。Knownforitsstrictsystemofmanagement,conscientiousteachingandresearch,unselfishdedication,state-of-the-artinstructiontohavegraduatesacrossthecountry,ZhuzhouProfessionalTechnologyCollege,fromthepasttillthepresent,holdsavisionof“prioritizedmorality,refinedskills,steadfastlearning,andaimedapplication”,intheprincipleof“unity,excellence,realityandinnovation”,likethelife-givingspringandrain-salutaryinfluenceofeducationtowarditsdistantgoalwithunremittingefforts,andconsequentlywinswidepraiseandnumerousawardsformoralandserviceorientation.思畴昔兮，前人已矣；仗剑去国，征程正遐！观夫今日狂澜既挽，群雄并起；职教正兴，百花竞放。恐时光之易逝，望崦嵫而勿迫。因是立馆，专司此展，铭之谢之，志之勉之。Nowwerecallthepastatthiscollegewithoutpresenceofthepredecessor,andfindourselvesonalongexpeditionafar!Insuchaprimetime,theragingwavesaregone,theheroesemergeendlessly,andvocationalschoolsprosperlikenumerousflowerscompetingtobloom.Weexclaimhowfasttimeflies,butmeanwhilecherishthetimetowardthedestination.Herebywehousetheexhibitsanderecttheinscriptiontothanktheforerunnersandtoinspirethefollowers.后记：Postscript悠悠岁月，历史有痕。栉风沐雨，蛹化蝶翔。Aninstitutionwithalonghistory,thecollegehasexperiencedallhardshipsandcomeoutamongthebest.开智化德，回眸情思。淑性陶情学无疆，济学育才何言悔。浩浩校史，鲜活如是，丰富如是，厚重如是。百折不挠之执著追求、敢为人先之胆识气魄、以人为本之办学理念、跨越发展之雄劲力量皆聚于此。株洲职业技术学院偕时代共发展，伴祖国同前行，春秋凝史诗，沧桑化丹阳。Whilereflectingonsuchanimpressive,resourcefulandfar-reachingprocessofknowledgedisseminationandmoralityadvocacyoverthepastdecades,weneverfeelregretcontributingtonurtureofmorally,academicallyandskillfullycompetenttalentsforthesociety.Atthecollegetherealsoconvergesuchmeritsasindomitableperseverance,pioneeringcourage,man-basedvision,andoutstandingstrength.Itisdevelopingvigorouslytomeetthemotherland’sneedsofthetimewithremarkableachievements.常言前人种树，后代摘樱。今日之辉煌易颂，昔时之艰苦难鸣。今得改革开放之天时，占工业重镇之地利，获团结一心之人和，当传承职教胜概、再添楚地盛望，方可告慰于先辈也。Asasayinggoes,“offspringenjoythefruitsofthelaboroftheirpredecessors”,itwouldbeeasierglorifythepresentsuccessthantorecallthepastdifficulties.Toletthepredecessorsrestinpeace,however,weshouldalwaysbegratefulforthepolicyofreformandopeningtooutsideworld,thelocationinthevicinityofthecityofdevelopedheavyindustry,theunityandharmonyamongthelocalpeople,andthetraditionofvocationaleducationforfurtherdevelopmentofcentralChinaandbeyond.职院多人杰，壮心永不已。灿若星河电，荣辉开万丈。求卓越、谋特色、图发展——望前路，师生浮槎破浪承继伟业；啸浩歌，吾辈管弦飞韵再谱华章！Thevocationaltechnologylcollegeboastsanelitepoolofscholars,specialistandprofessionalswhoworktogetherforthecollege’spursuanceofexcellence,distinctivenessandprogressiveness.Heretheteachersandtheirstudentsarecarryingforththegreatcauseregardlessofanychallengeahead,andonthepreviousfoundationtheywillbuilditintoaprestigiousinstitutionofhigherlearning.
