NoticeofRetractionAftercarefulandconsideredreviewofthecontentofthispaperbyadulyconstitutedexpertcommittee,thispaperhasbeenfoundtobeinviolationofIEEE'sPublicationPrinciples.Weherebyretractthecontentofthispaper.Reasonableeffortshouldbemadetoremoveallpastreferencestothispaper.ThepresentingauthorofthispaperhastheoptiontoappealthisdecisionbycontactingTPII@ieee.org.EmpiricalStudyontheElementsofEmploymentAbilityofCollegeStudentsBasedonEmployingUnitXuHonghuaSchoolofManagementChinaUniversityofMiningandTechnology,CUMTXuzhou,JiangSu,ChinaE-mail:xhh691@163.comWangYanhua&LiZengSchoolofManagementChinaUniversityofMiningandTechnology,CUMTXuzhou,JiangSu,ChinaE-mail:cherrynihao@163.comAbstract—Atpresent,employmentofcollegestudentshasbecomethefocusofChinesegovernment,societyanduniversities,difficultemploymentforcollegestudentscontinuouslyhighlighttheproblemofgeneralweakeremploymentability.Exploretheelementsofemployabilityofcollegestudentsisthekeytosolvethedifficultemploymentandenhancetheemployability.Fromtheperspectiveofemployingunit,wedesignedaquestionnaireandmadeasurveyonmorethan500enterprises994objects,thenanalyzedthedatabyusingSPSS17.0.Finally,sixelementsofemploymentabilityofcollegestudentsandfivefactorsthatemployingunitvaluemostweresummedup,andbasedonresearchresults,weputforwardeffectiverelevantcountermeasurestoenhancethecollegestudents’employability.Keywords-Employability;Qualitycultivation;FactoranalysisI.INTRODUCTIONAtpresent,employmentofcollegestudentshasbecomethefocusofChinesegovernment,societyanduniversities.Sincetheenrollmentexpansionofcollegesanduniversitiesin1999,thesituationofcollegestudents'employmenthasbecomemoreandmoresevere.Manyscholarsandresearchinstitutionsarelookingforreasonsandsolutionsforgraduatingstudentdifficultyinobtainingemployment.Somecontributionconclusionsthataffecttheemploymentofuniversitystudentsappeared,suchascollegestudentself-abilitylacktheory,universityeducationsystemlagtheory,totalsocialdemanddeficiencytheoryandsoon.Nomatterwhatleadtothedifficultemploymentforcollegestudents,wecannotignoretheissueofemploymentofuniversitystudents.Fromthemacrolevel,itisnotonlyrelatedtoeconomicdevelopmentalsothesocialstability;atintermediatelevel,ithassubsequenteffectonthenumberofnewstudentsincollegesaswellasqualityofhumanresources;fromthemicrocosmicaspect,itwillaffectthestudents’psychologyandbehavior.Therefore,thispaperstartsfromtheperspectiveofemployingunit,exploringtheirrequirementsforuniversitystudents’qualityandabilitythroughrelevantinterviewsandquestionnairesurvey,concludingtheelementsofemploymentabilityofcollegestudents,whichprovidesrelatedmeasurestothesolutionsofdifficultemploymentforcollegestudents,governmentandcommunity.II.CONNOTATIONSANDRESEARCHOVERVIEWOFCOLLEGESTUDENTS’EMPLOYMENTABLITYA.ConnotationsofEmploymentAbilityForalongtime,Chineseandforeignscholarshaveneverstoppedthestudyontheemploymentability,butthereisnouniformdefinitionofemploymentabilitystillnow.TheInternationalLaborOrganization(IL0)holdsthatemploymentabilityisaworker'sabilitytosecureandretainajob,progressatworkandcopewithchangeinworkandlife[1].BritishscholarHillageandPollarddescribedemploymentabilityasemployability,itreferredtobeingcapableofgettingandkeepingfulfillingworkandobtainnewemploymentwhennecessary.Employabilityofuniversitygraduatesreferstotheabilityinadynamicprocessfromjobacquisition,maintenancejobtore-selectionandacquisitionofnewposts.Chinesescholarsgenerallyagreethattheemployabilityofuniversitystudentsisasetofvariousqualitiesthatstudentsachieveemploymentsmoothlyandkeepjobopportunities;employabilityreferstothecapabilitythatcollegestudentsobtaininschoolthroughknowledgelearningandthedevelopmentofcomprehensivequality,whichisabletoachievetheidealjob,meetsocialneedsandrealizetheirownvaluesinsociallife[2].Employabilityofuniversitygraduatesisnotsimplyreferstoaparticularskillorability,butratheracollectionofstudents’variouscapacities,thisconceptincludesentirelystudents’variouscapacities[3].Incontent,whichincludelearningability,thoughtability,practicalability,applicationability,adaptability,etc.Learningabilityistheabilitytoacquireknowledge,whichisthecornerstoneofemployability;thoughtabilityembodiestheintegrateofthinkingability(includingcreativeability),andpoliticalidentification,socialinsight,emotionalandmoralquality,anditisthesymbolofcollegestudents’maturities;practicalabilityreferstostudents'abilitytouseknowledge,itistheextremelycleveraspectofemploymentlinkandoutsidereflectofcomprehensiveapplicationofvariousabilities;adaptabilityreferstotheabilityofpsychologicalandphysiologicalregulatingofself-managementinanyenvironment,itisthekeyforuniversitystudentstoobtainjobandchangesuccessfullyfromstudent-roletosocialoccupation-role.Weclassifytheelementsofemploymentabilityintosubjectivefactorsandobjectivefactors,subjectivefactors.Subjectivefactorscanbecontrolledandchanged,whileobjectivefactorsareTechnologicalFundofChinaUniversityofMining&Technology,0J0803172010InternationalConferenceonE-BusinessandE-Government978-0-7695-3997-3/10$26.00©2010IEEED
