龙源期刊网作者：马芳霞来源：《速读·上旬》2018年第10期Abstract：CoreCompetencieshascaughtmoreandmoreattentionofresearcherssinceitwasactuallyproposed.ThisarticlefocusesoncorecompetenciesofEnglishsubjectmainly.Backgroundanddefinitionofcorecompetencies；basisandcomponentsofcorecompetenciesofEnglishsubject，thesefouraspectsarementioned.Byanalyzingtheseaspects，peoplewillrealizetheimportanceofcorecompetenciesofEnglishsubject.ItwillgivepeoplespecificobjectivestolearnEnglishandmakethemknowexactlywhattheyshouldlearnandhowtolearnEnglishaswell.KeyWords：corecompetencies；Englishsubject；culturalawareness1BackgroundoftheCoreCompetenciesIn2014，MinistryofEducationissuesseveralpoliciesaboutdeepeningthecurriculumreforminanall-roundway，whichproposedtostudyanddraftaqualitystandardofstudents’developmentandtheiracademicquality.Moreover，itpointedoutthatcorecompetenciesisthenecessarycharacteristicsforstudentstoadaptlifelongdevelopmentandmeettheneedsofsociety.Inaddition，thepracticeofincorporatingcorecompetenciesintothecurriculumisalsoadvancinginothercountriesaccordingtotheirownrealities.ResearchesoncorecompetenciesinChinahasbeenfruitful，whichdeepenstherevolutionofeducationactually.2DefinitionofCoreCompetenciesCorecompetenciesofstudents’developmentmainlyreferstothenecessaryqualitiesandcoreabilitiesthatstudentsshouldpossesstobeabletomeettheneedsoflifelongdevelopmentandsocialdevelopment.Fromthisdefinition，itisn’tdifficulttofindthatcorecompetenciesarekindofqualitiesandabilitiestohelpstudentstobemoreadaptive.3TheContentsofCoreCompetenciesofEnglishSubjectItwillhelpustounderstandthecorecompetenciesofEnglishtolearnthecomponentsitsconnotation.Learningcourseshouldnotonlytakeknowledgeandskillsthatstudentsneedintoaccount，butalsotakethethingsthatstudentscoulddointhefuturebylearningEnglishandthecharacteristics.Tounderstandcorecompetenciesbetter，studentsshouldrealizethatthesefourfourcomponentsaresoimportant.3.1LanguageCompetencies龙源期刊网，speaking，readingandwriting，butthecompetenciesofunderstandinglanguage，languageconsciousnessandcommunicativeidentityconsciousness.3.2ThinkingQualityLanguageisclosetothinking.Learningandusinglanguagemustneedthehelpofthinking.Meanwhile，learningandusinglanguagecanfurtherpromotethedevelopmentofthinking.Mostresearchersbelievethatanumberofactivitiesinclasscanhelpstudentstopromotetheirabilityofthinking.Moreover，thinkingqualityisdifferentfromgeneralsenseofthinkingandunderstandingandexpressiveabilityinlanguage.Insteadof，itisconnectedtosomethinkingqualityinEnglishlearning.Inotherwords，thinkingindifferentperspectivesandsolvingtheproblemsindifferentperspectiveswillgivestudentsafurtherunderstandingonlearningdifferentlanguages.3.3CulturalCharacterCorecompetenciesofculturalcharacterdoesn’tmeanthatstudentsshouldlearnsomeculturalphenomenonandemotionalattitudeanditsvaluesonly.Moreover，itinvolvesculturaltraditionandsocialculturephenomenonreflectedinevaluatingtext.Fromthisaspect，itisnotsodifficulttofindthatculturalcharacterexceedscross-culturalawarenessandinterculturalcommunication.Thatis，culturalcharacterinvolvesmanyaspects，butitcanbetaughtinclass，whichneedstheeffortsofteachersmostly.3.4LearningCapacityEveryonemustholdanattitudethatheshouldkeeplearninginhiswholelifeandmustpossessthecompetenciestolearnbyhimself.AsstudentsofChina，itissosignificanttodeveloptheirabilitytostudy，especiallyforprimaryschoolstudentsandmiddleschoolstudents.TolearnEnglishwell，astudentmustmastertheessentialstolearnEnglishandformagoodhabittolearnEnglishwell.What’simportant，learningcapacitydoesnotonlyinvolvelearningmethodsandstrategies，butalsothecognitionandattitudestolearnEnglish.Therefore，asEnglishteachers，theyshouldknowexactlywhattheyneedtodonextandreflectthemselvesfrequently.4ConclusionAllinall，peoplewillbenefitalotfromlearningmoreaboutcorecompetencies.However，itisstillfullofchancesandchallengesforteachersandresearcherstouseandstudyit.Asforresearchers，theyshouldmakeagreateffortstostudymoretoenrichthecontentsofcorecompetencies.Asteachers，theyshoulduseittoguidetheirteachingpracticeandaddmoreideasoftheirowntocorecompetencies.龙源期刊网[1]程晓堂，赵思奇.英语学科核心素养的实质内涵[J].课程·教材·教法，2016（5）：82-85.[2]中华人民共和国教育部.教育部关于全面深化课程改革落实立德树人根本任务的意见[Z].http：//，2014.[3]冀小婷.英语核心素养培养的实现途径[J].天津师范大学学报（基础教育版），2016（3）：48-51.作者简介马芳霞（1993—），女，汉族，甘肃静宁人，在读硕士，甘肃省西北师范大学，学科教学（英语）。
