1.HowmanycategoriesarethereinEASAPart-66licensesystem?a)CategoryA:LineMaintenanceCertifyingMechanicb)CategoryB1:LineMaintenanceCertifyingEngineer-Mechanicalc)CategoryB2:LineMaintenanceCertifyingEngineer-Avionicsd)CategoryC:BasicMaintenanceCertifyingEngineerWhiletheCategoriesAandB1aresubdividedintosubcategoriesrelativetocombinationsofaeroplanes,helicopters,turbineandpistonengines.Thesubcategoriesare:a)A1andB1.1AeroplanesTurbineb)A2andB1.2AeroplanesPistonc)A3andB1.3HelicoptersTurbined)A4andB1.4HelicoptersPiston2.PrivilegesofdifferentcategoriesinEASAPart-66licensesystem.a)AcategoryAaircraftmaintenancelicensepermitstheholdertoissuecertificatesofreleasetoservicefollowingminorscheduledlinemaintenanceandsimpledefectrectificationwithinthelimitsoftasksspecificallyendorsedontheauthorization.ThecertificationprivilegesshallberestrictedtoworkthatthelicenseholderhaspersonallyperformedinaPart-145organization.b)AcategoryB1aircraftmaintenancelicenseshallpermittheholdertoissuecertificatesofreleasetoservicefollowingmaintenance,includingaircraftstructure,powerplantandmechanicalandelectricalsystems.Replacementofavioniclinereplaceableunits,requiringsimpleteststoprovetheirserviceability,shallalsobeincludedintheprivileges.CategoryB1shallautomaticallyincludetheappropriateAsubcategory.c)AcategoryB2aircraftmaintenancelicenseshallpermittheholdertoissuecertificatesofreleasetoservicefollowingmaintenanceonavionicandelectricalsystems.d)AcategoryCaircraftmaintenancelicenseshallpermittheholdertoissuecertificatesofreleasetoservicefollowingbasemaintenanceonaircraft.TheprivilegesapplytotheaircraftinitsentiretyinaPart-145organization.3.WhataretheworkingexperiencerequirementsforanapplicanttoapplyfortheEASAPart-66basiclicense?lForCategoryAa)threeyearsofpracticalmaintenanceexperienceonoperatingaircraft,iftheapplicanthasnopreviousrelevanttechnicaltraining;orb)twoyearsofpracticalmaintenanceexperienceonoperatingaircraftandcompletionoftrainingconsideredrelevantbythecompetentauthorityasaskilledworker,inatechnicaltrade;orc)oneyearofpracticalmaintenanceexperienceonoperatingaircraftandcompletionofaPart-147approvedbasictrainingcourse.lForcategoryB2andsubcategoriesB1.1a)fiveyearsofpracticalmaintenanceexperienceonoperatingaircraft,iftheapplicanthasnopreviousrelevanttechnicaltraining;orb)threeyearsofpracticalmaintenanceexperienceonoperatingaircraftandcompletionoftrainingconsideredrelevantbythecompetentauthorityasaskilledworker,inatechnicaltrade;orc)twoyearsofpracticalmaintenanceexperienceonoperatingaircraftandcompletionofaPart-147approvedbasictrainingcourse.lForcategoryCwithrespecttolargeaircrafta)threeyearsofexperienceexercisingcategoryB1.1,B1.3orB2privilegesonlargeaircraftorasPart-145B1.1,B1.3orB2supportstaff,or,acombinationofboth;orb)anapplicantholdinganacademicdegreeinatechnicaldiscipline,fromauniversityorotherhighereducationalinstitutionrecognizedbyEASA,threeyearsofexperienceworkinginacivilaircraftmaintenanceenvironmentonarepresentativeselectionoftasksdirectlyassociatedwithaircraftmaintenanceincludingsixmonthsofobservationofbasemaintenancetasks.4.WhatarethebasicknowledgerequirementsforanapplicanttoapplyfortheEASAPart-66basiclicense?a)Anapplicantforanaircraftmaintenancelicenseortheadditionofacategoryorsubcategorytosuchanaircraftmaintenancelicenseshalldemonstrate,byexamination,alevelofknowledgeintheappropriatesubjectmodulesinaccordancewithAppendixIofEASAPart-66.5.Arethereanytrainingcreditsagainstthebasicknowledgerequirementsforanapplicant(Non-EASAPart-147student)toobtainanEASAPart-66basiclicense?a)FullorpartialcreditagainstthebasicknowledgerequirementsandassociatedexaminationshallbegivenforanyothertechnicalqualificationconsideredbyEASAtobeequivalenttotheknowledgestandardofAppendixIofEASAPart-66.b)ThereportshallbesubmittedbyApplicantandincludeastatementofcomplianceagainsteachsubjectstatingwhere,inthetechnicalqualification,theequivalentstandardcanbefound.6.WherecantheapplicationdocumentsbesubmittedforEASAPart-66basiclicense?a)Anyof22membersofEASA.7.HowlongwillbethevalidityofEASAPart-66examresult?a)AllPart-66modulesthatmakeupacompletePart-66aircraftmaintenancelicensecategoryorsubcategorymustbepassedwithina5yeartimeperiodofpassingthefirstmoduleexceptinthecasespecifiedinparagraphb).b)The5yeartimeperiodspecifiedinparagrapha)doesnotapplytothosemoduleswhicharecommontomorethanonePart-66aircraftmaintenancelicensecategoryorsubcategoryandwhichwerepreviouslypassedaspartofanothersuchcategoryorsubcategoryexamination.8.HowlongwillbethevalidityofEASAPart-66basiclicense?a)Theaircraftmaintenancelicensebecomesinvalidfiveyearsafteritslastissueoramendment.9.Underwhichcondition,theEASAPart-147approvedbasictrainingcertificatecanbeissuedbyanEASAPart-147trainingorganization?a)Successfullycompletethe2400-traininghourEASAPart-147approvedbasictrainingprogram.b)Demonstrate,byexamination,alevelofknowledgeintheappropriatesubjectmodulesinaccordancewithAppendixIofEASAPart-66.10.ArethereanytrainingcreditsagainstthebasicknowledgerequirementsforanapplicanttoobtainanEASAPart-147approvedbasictr
