THEDIGNITYOFTHEBLACKSIN“CRASH”Afterwatchthefilm—crash,Iseediscrimination,culturalconflicts,theblood,distrust,misunderstandandsoon.However,thedignityoftheindividualandtheracialisthemostimportantaspectsinthefilm.Lookbacktothehistory,duringthattime,theslavercapturedtheblacksfromAfricaandforcedthemtoworkintheplantationswhicharelocatedinthesouthofAmerica.SomeblackslavesdiedofdiseasesandlackedfoodinthehalfwaytoAtlantic.Someweresubjectandtrade.Meanwhile,theywerebeatencruelty.Whatwasworse,owingtooverworking,lotsoftheslaversdirectlydied.Theslavetradelastedforseveralcenturiesfrom15thcentury.Theblcksslaveswerejustlookedasakindoftoolbyplantationownerswithoutdignity.Atthebeginingofthefilm,itshowsbetweendifferentraceconflict.Forexample,”InL.A,Nobodytouchesyou.”,”Wearealwaysbehindthismetalandglass”,”Shegotcolderassoonasshesawusandherreationisblindfear.”,”Dresslikegangbangers”andsoon.Fromtwoblackyouth'sdialogtoseetheythinkthedignitylifeisluxurylivinginwhitepepoleworld.Thepublicprosecutorwifesawthetwoblackyoungmenbythedespisedsightthatcausedtheirdignitytosufferinjury.Sotheywantedtoobtainthedignitybysnatchingpublicprosecutor'svehicle.Asaresult,ithadcausedthepublicprosecutorwifetoloathetheblack.Therespectismostpeopleexpectedtoown.Eachpeopleshouldremember,thedignityisnotothersgive,buttowinthroughyourowndiligence.Therefore,everyoneshouldhavethesamedignity,butthatdependsonourowngain.Thepoliceshamedthedirector'swifewhowantedtobuiltherhusbanddignityforsavinghisownface.Hishusbandkeptsilentatthatpoint..However,hesavedhisface,helosthisdignity.Notlongago,inacaraccident,theymetagain.TheblackwifewouldratherdiethanacceptthewhitepoliceRyan’help.Theresistanceshowedherfightforthedignity.Eventually,thepolicesavedtheblackwomansafelyinthecrisis.Fromtheblackwoman,wecanseethatshegainedherdignitybystrugglingandwontherespect,thewhitepolicetotheblack.Therewasalensthattwoblackyouthmenpillagedashuttlebusandwassurprisedtofindthatwasablackdriver.WiththewhitepoliceHansonhelp,thedirectorreturnedtohiscar,andsaidtothem,“youembarrassme,youembarrassyouself”.Ifyoulookdownyouself,otherswilldespiseyou.Afterthat,theblackbludgeralsostruggledforthedignity.HesnatchedonecarfullyladenwiththetradingEastAsianperson'svehicle.Whenhesawthescene,hethoughthisancestorhadtradedlikethis.Finally,heledthemtothesecurityarea,andgavethemhisallmoneytobuyfoodforthemselves.Fromthisevent,hedeterminedtostrivefortheatonementandlivewithdignitylife.Fromthen,hemightnotonlywinrespect,butalsorealizethedignitytruevalue.Fromancienttimestillnow,fordignity,buttheunyieldingpersoniseverywhere,Rousseau“Everymanshouldmaintaintheirdignity”.ZhuZiqingforowndignity,butdidnoteattheAmericanrelieffood..Thedignityisnotactuallydifficulttostrivefor,wasonlysomepeoplehavenotdaredinthehearttostrivefor,tothinkthatoneselfwashumble,didnotmatchobtainsthesethings.Everybodyisbornequal,thisisknownverywellonthewordsbythepeople,butactuallynotbymostpeopletrueunderstanding.Weshouldstruggleforourdignityandthenationaldignity.Butstruggledoesnotmeantheviolenceandthewar.Actually,eachpeoplearetheangelandthedevilsynthesis,thewindandcloudopportunemoment,thecircumstancesreverse,goodandevilsamsara.Sometimes,doesevilthereasonwhichthehumannodoubthasittobeworthsympathizing,butthisactuallycannotbecomehimforthewickedexcuse,because,insociety'speoplelookresembletheisolation,regulationseachotherrelation,evenifaspotsmallevilintentionhasthepossibilitytolooklikethesnowballequallymoretorollisbigger,notcanonlyinjuryandtheinnocentperson,evenalsothefinalretributiontoownbodyon.Friendlyandwickedistheerrorinthoughtmerely,actuallywillcreatetheentirelydifferentresult.Wherehastheoppression,wherehastherevolt.Inmodernsociety,thereisstillracialdiscriminationinAmerica.Blacksstillsufferquiteunfairly,sothattheAfrican—AmericanCivilRightsMovementbrokeout.Ithinkthatitpassesthroughthelongtimewearing,theracialdiscriminationandtheculturalconflictquestionwillmeltgradually.Everybodywilllivewiththedignity,theworldwillpresentpeacetohavethegoodaspect.Likeasongsings,wearethewholefamily,thewholefamilywhotheintimatefallsinlove.Ican’twaittowelcomethisdayinthenearfuture!
