TheAdventuresofHuckleberryFinnMarkTwainwasborninFloridaonNovember30,1835.HisoriginalnameisSamuelLanghorneClemens.AfterpublishingTheAdventuresofHuckleberryFinn,hebecamemoreandmorefamous.HemadegreatcontributionstotheAmericanliteratureandwascalledtheLincolnofourliteraturebyW.D.Howells.Moreover,heinitiatedthevernaculartraditionofAmericanfiction.Hemingwayoncewrote:AllmodernAmericanliteraturecomesfromonebookbyMarkTwaincalledHuckleberryFinn....it'sthebestbookwe'vehad....Therewasnothingbefore.Therehasbeennothingsogoodsince.TheAdventuresofHuckleberryFinnmadeitsfirstdebuttothepublicin1885andhadarelationwithMarkTwain’sanotherfictionTheAdventuresofTomSawyer.Huck’sfirstappearancewasinthatbook.Inordertoreleasehispent-upemotions,MarkTwainmadeuphismindtowritetheadventureofHuckleberryFinn.IttellsastorywhichtookplaceintheU.S.A.beforetheCivilWar,alongtheMississippiRiver,aboynamedHuckleberryFinnwhofledfromhisdrunkardfather,andencounteredtheescapedJimontheislandhehid.JimwasoneofMissWatson’slaves,andhewasalsorunningawayfromherforfearingthatMissWatsonwouldsellhimtoanotherperson.SoHuckandJimteamedup,floatedonaraftdowntheMississippiRivertogether.Theadventurestarted.Duringthecourseoftheirperilousandtoughjourney,HuckandJimmetdifficulties,adventure,danger,andagroupofpeoplewithvariouscharacters.AndInthewindingandadventurousjourney,HuckandJimbuiltupapermanentfriendshipthatbrokedownthebarrierbetweentheWhiteandBlack.Whatanamazingstory.EverytimewhenIreadit,Iwaslostinthought.Ihadlearnedalotfromit.First,thestorystronglycriticizedtheadmissionoftheslavery.Atthattime,blackpeopleallhadnohumanrightsandnofreedom.Evenworse,theyweresoldasproducts.Peopleofotherskincoloralwayslookdownonthemandinsultthem.Inthisbook,theauthorusedtheironicandhumorwordstocriticizetheinequalitysituationofthesocietyandtoshowhisdissatisfactionsontheslavery.Second,ittalkedaboutthepursuingoffreedom.HuckescapedfromhisfatherandoldJimescapedfromtheslaveryandrantoafreedomstate.Third,therewasoneconflictbetweencivilizationand“naturallife”.Thewidow’sfamilystoodforthecivilization.Whateveryoudid,therewerealwaysregulations.Huckrepresentednaturallifebecauseofhisfreedomofspirit.Helivedinanuncivilizedwayandshowednopassionforthecivilization.Sohemadehisdecisiontorunawayfromthecivilworldandbegunhisadventures.Finally,itwassuperstition.ThoughHuckandJimwererational,whenitcametothesuperstitions,theybecameunreasonable.Forexample,whenJimtoldHuckthatkillingasnakewouldbringbadluck,Huckwasangryandthoughtitwasridiculousatfirst.Butgradually,hebelievedit.Allinall,Hucklivedinaninequality,violentandcruelsociety,buthedidnoteffectbythesedirtythings.Instead,hestillkepthischaracter---innocentandkindtoeveryone.Jim,thenigger,waslookeddownonthewhitepeople.Buthestillstruggledforhisfreedom.So,asaluckyonelivinginthepeacefulandequalsociety,wemustcherishourlifeandneversoiledbythebadofthesociety.
