TheReviewofTheBoyintheStripedPajamasThefilmtalksaboutthefriendshipbetweentwoeight-year-oldboysduringWorldWarⅡ.OneisBruno,aNazicommandant’sson.TheotherisaJew,whoislivingintheJewishconcentrationcampandalwayswearingauniformlikeastripedpajama.Ontheonehand,theboysknownothingaboutthecrueltyofthewar.Ontheotherhand,theNaziattempttodestroytheJewishpeople.Thewariscruel.Butthechildrenareinnocent.Thoughthereisabarbed-wirefencebetweenthetwoboyswhentheyarechatting,thereisnobrutalityorracialdiscrimination.Iconsidertheexcellentpointisthatthefilmisfromachild’sperspectivetoviewthewar.Thus,itmakesatremendouscontrast,whichrevealstheuglinessofthetheNazi’satrocities.Besides,itengravesthecrueltyofthewaronpeople’sminds,callingforpeace.Lifeisequalandeachlifeshouldberespected.Doubtlesslythefilmisatragedy.Whenseeingbothofthelovelyboysdiedintheend,Ifeltawfullydepressed.However,theendingisquitereasonableforonlywhentheNazicommandantlosthissoncouldhetastetheagoniesastheJewsdid.Eachlifeispreciousandnobodyhastherighttodepriveothers’lives.Weneedtorespecteachlifeandcherishpeaceandstability.
