DifferencesbetweenEasternandWesternCulturalTherearesomanydifferencesbetweeneasternandwesterncultural,someofthedifferencesarelistedasfollows:Firstly,itisatraditiontousechopsticksforChinese,butpeopleineasternprefertoforksandknives.Secondly,easternerschoosetoeatbeefsteak,breadandsalad，whileChinesepeoplechoosenoodles，pancakesandrice.Third,indailycommunication,Westernersarefrank,butchinesearehumility.Fourth,inChina,differentpeoplebelieveindifferentimmortals,somepeoplebelieveinBuddhism,buttheyalsobelieveinotherimmortalsatthesametime,whileinmanywesterncountries,peopleonlybelieveinChristian,andeveryonebelieveinitincludingtheleadersofthecountry.Fifth,easternpeoplealwayshaveabathintheeveningoratnightinordertorelaxthemselvesafterone-day'shardworkwhilewesternpeopletakeabathinthemorningsoastokeepfreshlyforthewholeday.Sixth,comparedwiththerelationships,easternpeopleliketomakefriends,sometimesthroughtheirfriends,parents,relatives，whilewesternpeoplebehavealittleshyly，theydonotwanttomakefriendsallthetime.Seventh,Asforwayofthinking,peopleineasternareasusuallythinkindirectly，theyusedtothinkaboutthethingsaroundthemalotandtrytodealwiththingsinareasonableevenperfectway;however,incomparisonwiththeeasternpeople,peopleinthewesternareasoftenthinkdirectly,theypaylessattentiontothethingsaroundthemandcaremuchmoreaboutthemselves.Themostimportantdifferentwayisthefamilystructure,familyvaluesandfamilyeducationbetweentheeastandwest,intheeastchildrenrepaytheirparents’sacrificesbybeingsuccessfulandsupportingtheminoldages,butthewestchildrenhavenothisawareness.TherearetoomanyotherdifferencesbetweeneasternandwesternculturethatIcannotlistallofthem,butIthinkthemostimportantthingisthat,wemustrespecttheirculturefirstly.
