1878-0296©2010PublishedbyElsevierdoi:10.1016/j.proenv.2010.10.136Availableonlineat(2010)1255–1264InternationalSocietyforEnvironmentalInformationSciences2010AnnualConference(ISEIS)WetlandLandscapechangeinDaliaoheRiverbasinandthedrivingfactorsanalysisLeiYu,MinLi,SihuiWang,YanweiZhao*StateKeyLaboratoryofWaterEnvironmentSimulationandPollutionControl,SchoolofEnvironment,BeijingNormalUniversity,Beijing,China,100875AbstractTakingtheLandsatTMimagesofDaliaoheRiverbasinin1992,2001and2007asdatasource,basedonthelandusedatafromimageryinterpretation,thewetlandlandscapechangewasanalyzed,meanwhileˈthenaturalandsocio-economicfactorsdrivinglandscapechangewerediscussed.Themainconclusionsareasfollows:Thereisanobvioustransformationtrendfromnaturalwetlandlandscapetoartificialwetlandlandscapeandotherlandscape,aswellasfromotherlandscapetoartificialwetlandlandscape.From1992to2007,thetemperatureofDaliaoheRiverbasinriseswithfluctuations,andtheprecipitationandrunoffdecreaseslowly,theregionalclimateappearstoturnfromwarmwettowarmdry.Commonly,thatwillleadtowetlandareadecreaseandaffectthewetlandlandscape.Fromlandscapelevel,theagriculturedevelopmenthasgreaterinfluenceonwetlandlandscapeduring1992to2001,whiletheprimary,secondary,tertiaryindustrydevelopmentallhaveimpactsonwetlandlandscapeduring2001to2007.Fromclasslevel,Sownareapercapitahasgreaterinfluenceonbeachlandfrom1992to2001,thenaturallandareasofriver,lakeandmarshareinfluencedmoredeeplybytheagriculturedevelopmentpushedbymechanizationandthetertiaryindustrydevelopmentfrom2001to2007.©2010PublishedbyElsevierLtd.Keywords:DaliaoRiverBasin;wetlandlandscape,;thenaturaldrivingfactors;socio-economicdrivingfactorsWetlandsprovidemanyresourcesforhumanproductionandliving,andhavemultipleecologicalbenefitssuchasfloodcontrol,climateregulation,andhabitatfunction.Withthedevelopmentofsocialeconomy,humanactivities(urbanization,deforestation,agriculturereclamation,ect.),asexternalstressfactors,imposeonthenaturaldrivingfactorsinarelativelysmallspaceregion,whichacceleratesthewetlandlandscapechangesuchasareashrinking,landscapefragmentationandecologicalfunctiondegradation.Andthosemayhaveprofoundimpactsontheregionalhydrologicalenvironment,climatecondition,biodiversityandsoon[1-2].Researchesonregionalwetlandlandscapechangedrivingbynatureandhumanactivitiescomeintofocusinthestudyfieldoflandscapeecologyandwetland[3-4].Inrecentyears,manyresearchers[5]considerthenaturalandsocio-economicdrivingfactors,andmeasuretheextentoftheinfluenceonwetlandlandscapechangefromthedrivingfactors.Althoughtheresearchesonthe*Correspondingauthor.Tel.:+86-010-588-01719;fax:+86-010-588-01719.E-mailaddress:awei-a@163.com.1256LeiYuetal./ProcediaEnvironmentalSciences2(2010)1255–1264wetlandlandscapechangeanditsdrivingmechanismhavemadesomeprogress,theclassificationofwetlandlandscapeissingleandmacroscopical;fewresearchessystematicallydividedthewetlandlandscapeintosecondleveltypes.Besidesthedrivingmechanismresearchesneedtobemorequantitative,sotheresearchesneedtobefurtherimproved.TheeconomyisrelativelydevelopedandthehumanactivitiesareintensivewithintheDaliaoheRiverbasin.Recently,wetlandlandscapehasbeendestroyedtosomeextentbythecombineddrivingfromnatureandhumanactivities.Someresearchershavestartedtopayattentiontothewetlandlandscapechangeinthisregion[6-7],butthestudyareawasrestrictedinLiaoheRiverDeltathatisseriouslyimpactedbyhumanactivities.Andthestudiesfocusedmoreontheanalysesofwetlandlandscapechange,whichlackfurtheranalysesofitsdrivingfactors.Inthispaper,wedividedthewetlandlandscapeofDaliaoheRiverbasinintodifferentlandscapetypes,thendiscussedthecharacteristicsofitswetlandlandscapechangeusingconversionmatrix,andfurtheranalyzedthenaturalandsocio-economicfactorsdrivingonthewetlandlandscapechange.ThisstudycouldcontributetorevealthecharacteristicsofwetlandlandscapechangeanditsmaindrivingfactorsinDaliaoheRiverbasin,andofferscientificevidencetolandscapeplanning,resourcemanagementaswellasprotectionandrestorationofwetlandinDaliaoheRiverbasin.1.StudyareaDaliaoheRiverbasinlocatesinLiaoningProvince,withadrainageareaof2.64h104km2.Itlocatesinthetemperateandmonsoonclimaticzoneandhasanobviouscontinentalclimate.Theannualaveragetemperatureisaround5̚10ć.Theannualaverageprecipitationisabout500̚1000mmwithgradualdecreasefromeasternregiontowesternregionofthebasin,andmainlyconcentrateinsummer.Thebasinriversystemdeveloped,andhasalotofwetlandlandscapesuchasrivers,lakes,marshes,beachesandpaddyfields.ThemainriversareHunriver,Puriver,Taiziriver,Tangriverandsoon.HunRiverandTaiziRiverjointintoDaliaoRiverneartheSanchaestuary,thenflowingfromnorthtosouthwest,andrunningintotheBohaiSeainYingkoucity.DaliaoheRiverflowsthroughmanycitiessuchasFushun,Shenyang,Benxi,Liaoyang,Anshan,YingkouandTaizi.DaliaoheRiverbasinhasimportantsocio-economicstatus,althoughtheareaofthisbasinaccountsforonly12%oftheLiaoheRiverbasin,thepopulation,economyandindustryofitaccountformorethan40%.2.Studymethods2.1.RemotesensingimageinterpretationAccordingtotheresearchpu
