OntheFermentationTypeandEcologyofAnaerobicHydrogenogenicBacteriaLiBaikun(NorthernJiaotongUniversity,Beijing,100044)Abstaract: Onthebasisoftheanaerobictreatmentofhighstrengthwastewater,batchanaerobiccultureisem-ployedtoresearchthehydrogenogenicbacteria.Accordingtotheresearchonniche,ecologicalfactorsandcoordinationamongbacterium,itindicatesthatthechangeofO2,pH,CODconcentrationmayleadtothechangeoffermentationtype.Purehy-drogenproducingbacteriawereisolatedfromanaerobicfermentationsludge.Byusingrefinedsugarassubstrate,thelargestH2productionwas84.4mlH2/gbacteria·h.Thecomparisononhydrogenproducingabilitybetweensludgemixedandpurebacteriashowsthatcoordinationamongbacteriaplaysamajorroleinhydrogenproducing.Theoptimalecologicalcontrolfac-torsofethanoltypefermentationisputforward.
