SydneyOperaHouse•TheSydneyOperaHouseisoneofthemostfamousbuildingsintheworld.Itisconsideredtobeoneofthemostrecognizableimagesofthemodernworldalthoughthebuildinghasbeenopenforonlyabout40years.TheSydneyOperaHouseisasrepresentativeofAustraliaasthepyramidsareofEgypt.•6225squaremetersofglassand645kilometersofelectriccablewereusedtobuildtheOperaHouse.Itincludes1000rooms.Itis185meterslongand120meterswide.Thebuilding’sroofsectionsweightabout15tons.Thereare1milliontilesontheroof.Itprovidesguidedtoursto200000peopleeachyear.•ButdoyouknowtheOperaHousewitharoofwasdesignedbyafamousDanisharchitect，JohnUtzon？Inthelate1950stheAustralianGovernmentestablishedanappealfundtofinancefortheconstructionoftheSydneyOperaHouse，andconductedacompetitionforitsdesignwaschosen.Utzonspentafewyearsreworkingthedesignanditwas1961beforehehadsolvedtheproblemofhowtobuildthedistinguishingfeature—thesailsoftheroof.Theventureexperiencedcostblowouts.In1966thesituationreachedcrisispointandUtzonresignedfromtheproject.Thebuildingwasfinallycompetedbyothersin1973.SydneyOperaHousewasopenedbyQueenElizabethon20thOctober1973.•TheOperaHousereachesoutintotheharbour.Seenfromtheairoraferry，theskylineoftheSydneyOperaHose，thebluewateroftheharbourandtheSydneyHarbourBridge，sobeautiful.谢谢观赏WPSOfficeMakePresentationmuchmorefun@WPS官方微博@kingsoftwps
