MrPresidentoftheCongress,distinguishedguests,ladiesandgentlemen:IamgreatlyhonoredtogivetheopeningspeechatthisInternationalCongressofBiologicalandmedicalmaterialshereinNanjing,China.OnbehalfoftheSEU,Iamdelightedtowelcomeallthescholarsandguestsfromhomeandabroad.Thankyouverymuchforyourparticipation.Firstofall,letmetointroduceourdistinguishedgueststoday:theyare,ProfessorLicamefromNanyangTechnologicalUniversity,Singapore,ProfessorLinfromSoutheastUniversity,ChinaandDrZhu,alsofromSoutheastUniversity,China.Bothofthemaretheleadingexpertsintheareaofbiologicalmaterialsandcompositematerials.Theyhavespentmanyyearstopainstakingresearchandhaveachievedremarkableresultswhichhaveimportantinfluenceintheworld.Thedevelopmentoftheresearchtobiologicalmaterialsandmedicalmaterialsintheworldstartedin1949.Afternearly60yearsofdevelopment,wenowknowthattheroleofbiologicalmaterialsbecameincreasinglyimportantinnationalmedicalindustry,theresearchfieldbecameincreasinglydeeply,andthenumberofparticipantsinthisareabecameincreasinglylarge.Thisconferenceislaunchedinanattempttoprovideaplatformforupdatingrecentideas,approaches,innovationsandadvancesonbiology,materialscience,andbiotechnologyinmedicalapplications.Finally,IwishyouanicestayinNanjingandasafetrip.NowIwouldliketoconcludemyspeechbydeclaringtheconferenceopenandwishingitacompletesuccess.Thankyou.
