AnneFrankByAnnaAJew(犹太)girl,GermanShediedinBergen-Belsenconcentrationcampwhenshewasonly15yearsold(1929-1945).SheisfamousforherworkThediaryofayounggirlPersonalintroductionBorninFrankfurt,GermanHerfather:OttoFrankMother:EdithFrankSister:MargotFrankTheFrankfamilymovedfromGermanytoAmsterdam(荷兰)in1933.Atthattime,theNazisgainedcontroloverGermany.PersonalintroductionBythebeginningof1940,theyweretrappedinAmsterdambytheNazioccupationoftheNetherlands(荷兰).Aspersecutions(迫害)oftheJewishpopulationincreasedinJuly1942,thefamilywentintohidinginthehiddenroomsofAnne'sfather,OttoFrank's,officebuilding.Annewrotelotsofdiariesthere.PersonalintroductionAftertwoyears,thefamilywasbetrayedandtransportedtoconcentrationcamps(集中营).AnneFrankandhersister,Margot,wereeventuallytransferredtotheBergen-Belsenconcentrationcamp,wheretheybothdiedoftyphus(伤寒症)inMarch1945.PersonalintroductionOttoFrank,theonlysurvivorofthefamily,findAnne'sdiaryafterwar,hiseffortsledtoitspublicationin1947.ItwastranslatedfromitsoriginalDutchandfirstpublishedinEnglishin1952asTheDiaryofaYoungGirl.EarlylifeTheFrankswereliberalJews,didnotobserveallofthecustomsandtraditionsofJudaism(犹太教),andlivedinanassimilatedcommunityofJewishandnon-Jewishcitizensofvariousreligions.Earlylife•On13March1933,electionswereheldinFrankfurtforthemunicipalcouncil(市议会),andAdolfHitler'sNaziPartywon.•Antisemiticdemonstrations(反犹主义的游行示威)occurredalmostimmediately,andtheFranksbegantofearwhatwouldhappentothemiftheyremainedinGermany.SotheyfledGermanytoNetherlands.EarlylifeOttoFrankfoundanapartmentontheMerwedepleininAmsterdam.Theybegantheirnewlifethere.TheFranksistershadhighlydistinctpersonalities,Annewasoutspoken,energetic,andextroverted.DiarylifeForher13thbirthday,Annereceivedabook,shebegantowritediaries.Whilemanyofherearlyentriesrelatethemundaneaspectsofherlife,shealsodiscussessomeofthechangesthathadtakenplaceintheNetherlandssincetheGermanoccupation.DiarylifeOnthemorningofMonday,6July1942,thefamilymovedintotheirhidingplace.whileinhiding,sheregularlywroteandeditedherdiaryentries.Inadditiontoprovidinganarrativeofeventsastheyoccurred,shewroteaboutherfeelings,beliefs,andambitions,subjectsshefeltshecouldnotdiscusswithanyone.Asherconfidenceinherwritinggrew,andasshebegantomature,shewroteofmoreabstractsubjectssuchasherbeliefinGod,andhowshedefinedhumannature.ArrestOnthemorningof4August1944,theAchterhuis(theirhome)wasstormedbytheGermanOrderPolice.Havingbeenarrestedinhiding,theywereconsideredcriminalsandweresenttothePunishmentBarracksforhardlabor.DeportationanddeathOn3September,1944,thegroupwasdeportedonwhatwouldbethelasttransportfromWesterborktotheAuschwitzconcentrationcamp.WitnesseslatertestifiedMargotfellfromherbunkinherweakenedstateandwaskilledbytheshock.Afewdayslater,Annedied.TheDiaryofaYoungGirlThediaryhasbeenpraisedforitsliterarymerits.CommentingonAnneFrank'swritingstyle,thedramatistMeyerLevincommendedFrankforsustainingthetensionofawell-constructednovelSocialInfluenceEleanorRooseveltdescribeditasoneofthewisestandmostmovingcommentariesonwaranditsimpactonhumanbeingsthatIhaveeverread“.AsAnneFrank‘sstatureasbothawriterandhumanisthasgrown,shehasbeendiscussedspecificallyasasymboloftheHolocaust(大屠杀)andmorebroadlyasarepresentativeofpersecution.SocialInfluenceInJune1999TimemagazinepublishedaspecialeditiontitledTime100:TheMostImportantPeopleoftheCentury.AnneFrankwasselectedasoneoftheHeroes&Icons.SocialInfluenceOvertheyears,severalfilmsaboutAnneFrankappeared.Herlifeandwritingshaveinspiredadiversegroupofartistsandsocialcommentatorstomakereferencetoherinliterature,popularmusic,television,andothermedia.
