本科毕业论文外文文献及译文文献、资料题目:ZeroInventoryApproach文献、资料来源:TheIUPJournalofSupplyChainManagement文献、资料发表(出版)日期:2012.06院(部):管理工程学院专业:工业工程班级:工业112姓名:张金丰学号:2011021527指导教师:孔海花翻译日期:2015.06.14山东建筑大学外文文献及译文-1-外文文献:ZeroInventoryApproachManagingoptimalinventoryinthesupplychainiscriticalforanenterprise.Theabilitytoincreaseinventoryturnsandtheuseofbestinventorypracticeswillreduceinventorycostsacrossthesupplychain.Movingtowardszeroinventorywillresultineffectiveinventorymanagementinthebusinessprocess.InventoryOptimizationSolutionscanbeimplementedeasilyusinginventoryoptimizationsoftware.WithRadioFrequencyIdentification(RFID)technology,inventorycanbeupdatedinrealtimewithoutproductmovement,scanningorhumaninvolvement.Companieshavetoadoptbestpracticestooptimizeoperationalprocessesandlowertheircoststructurethroughinventorystrategies.IntroductionWithsupplychainplanningandlatestsoftware,companiesaremanagingtheirinventoryinthebestpossiblemanner,keepinginventoryholdingstotheminimumwithoutsacrificingthecustomerserviceneeds.Thezeroinventoryconcepthasbeenaroundsincethe1980s.Ittriestoreduceinventorytoaminimumandenhancesprofitmarginsbyreducingtheneedforwarehousingandexpensesrelatedtoit.Theconceptofasupplychainistohaveitemsflowingfromonestageofsupplytothenext,bothwithinthebusinessandoutside,inaseamlessfashion.Anystockinthesystemiscausedbyeitherdelaybetweentheprocesses(demand,distribution,transfer,recordingandproduction)orbythevariationintheflow.Eliminating/reducingstockcanbeachievedby:linkingprocesses,makingthesamethroughputrateonprocesses,locatingprocessesneareachotherandcoordinatingflows.Recentadvancedsoftwarehasmadezeroinventorystrategyexecutable.Inventoryoptimizationisanemergingpracticalapproachtobalancinginvestmentandservice-levelgoalsoveraverylargeassortmentofStock-KeepingUnits(SKUS).Incontrasttotraditional‘one-at-a-time’marginalstocklevelsetting,inventoryoptimizationsimultaneouslydeterminesallSKUstocklevelstofulfilltotalserviceandinvestmentconstraintsorobjectives.Inventoryoptimizationtechniquesprovideanewlogictodrivethesystemwithinformationsystems.Toeffectivelymanageinventory,businessesmustalsooptimizethe山东建筑大学外文文献及译文-2-costsofbuying,holding,producing,movingandsellinginventory.Theobjectiveofinventoryoptimizationistosustainminimallevelsofinventorywhileprovidingthemaximumpossiblelevelsofservice.SupplyChainDesignandOptimization(SCDO)isaninventoryoptimizationsolutionwhichhelpscompaniessatisfycustomerdemandswhilebalancinglimitationsonsupplyandtheneedforoperationalefficiency.Inventoryoptimizationfocusesonmodelinguncertaintyandvariabilityandminimizingtheriskstheyimposeonthesupplychain.Inventoryoptimizationcanhelpresolvetotalsupplychaincostoptionslike:•In-housemanufacturingvs.contractmanufacturing;•Domesticvs.offshore;•Newsupplier'scostvs.currentsuppliers'cost.Companiescanbenefitfrominventoryoptimization,providedtheycontroltheirsupplychainprocessesandthecomplexityofsupplychain.Incasethesupplychainisverycomplex,besidesinventoryoptimization,networkdesignhastobeusedtoreapthebenefitsfully.ThispapercoversvariousinventorymodelsthatareavailableandthendescribesthetechnologieslikeRadioFrequencyIdentification(RFID)andnetworkingusedfortheoptimizationofinventory.Thepaperalsodescribesthesoftwaresolutionsavailableforachievingthesame.Itconcludesbygivingafewexampleswhereinventoryoptimizationhasbeensuccessfullyimplemented.InventoryModelsHexagonModelThehexagonmodelwasdevelopedduetotheneedtostructureday-to-daywork,reduceheadcountandotherinventorycostsandimprovecustomersatisfaction.Inthefirstphase,operationstrategieswereestablishedinalignmentwithinte-rnalcustomers.Later,continuousimprovementplansandbusinesscontinuitypl-answereadded.Thefivestrategiesusedwere:forecastingfutureconsumption,settingfinancialtargetstominimizeinventorycosts,preparingdailyreportstomonitorinventoryoperationalperformance,studyingcriticalsuccessindicatorstotracktheaccomplishments,toforminventorystrategicobjectivesandinventor-yhealthandoperatingstrategies.Thehexagonmodelisacombinationoftwotriangularstructures(Figure1).山东建筑大学外文文献及译文-3-Theuppertrianglefocusesonthesoftmanagementofhumanresources,customerorientationandsupplierrelations;thelowerfocusesontheexecutionofinventoryplanswiththeirsuccesscriteria,continuousimprovementmethodologyandbusinesscontinuityplans.Theinventoryindicatorsare:totalinventoryvalue,availabilityofspares,daysofinventory,costofinventory,costsavingandcashsavingoutputexpen-ditureandqualityimprovement.Thehexagonmodelcombinestheelementsofthepeopleinvolvedinmanaginginventorywithoperationalexcellence(Figur2).Managinginventorywithoperationalexcellencewasachievedbyreducingthenumberofemployeesinthematerialdepartment,changingthemixofpeopleskillssuchasintroducingengineeringintothedepartmentstructureandreducingthecostofownershipofthematerialdepartmenttotheoperationthatitsupports.Normally,thisisimplementedwithreductioninheadcountofmaterialdepartment,havinglesspeoplewithengineeringskillsinthedepartment.Operationresultsinclude,improvementinrawmaterialsupplylinequalityindicators,competitivedays
