PERSONALSTATEMENTByxxxxxxxxInthesummerof2007,duetoexcellentperformance,IwasenrolledfromAnshanNO.1middleschooltoShanghaiJiaotongUniversity,SchoolofMechanicalEngineering.BeingtheministerofCommunistYouthLeaguepropagandadepartmentofSJTU,themonitorandthepartysecretaryofF0702012administrativeclass,Iamastudentwithgoodteamspiritandstrongcommunicationskills,ranking5/25.Mythreeyear’sstudyintheShanghaiJiaoTongUniversityhasagreatimpactonmypersonalgrowth.Thetechnicalbasedcoursesgivemesoundknowledgeaboutmathandscience,whiletheacademicatmospherenurturesmetobepracticalanddiligent.WhenIbegintoapplyforthePeking,HSBCbusinessschool,Irealizedthattheacademicbackgroundandthepersonalvaluesdevelopedduringmypreviousstudyaremymostpreciousfortune.IhaveestablishedasolidfoundationinthefieldofmathematicsduringmySJTUcareer.Asastudentmajorinthermalenergyandpowerengineering,mathematicsisfrequentlyutilized.Inthecourseofdynamicsofgasflow，weanalyzefluidbodybasedoninfinitesimalmethod;inengineeringthermodynamics，however,weperformcalculationsaboutcomplexrelationshipbetweenenthalpyandentropy；duringthecourseofcontroltheory,mathematicshelpsmeseethroughtheappearancetoperceivewhatisexactlygoingon……Asaresultofthoseabove,mymathabilityhasdramaticallyimproved.Thetechnicalbasedexperiencemakesmeastableboyandkeenoncombiningtheorywithpractice.ItookpartintheHONDAenergy-savingContestonbehalfofourschoolduringmysophomoreyear.Wemanagedtoapplythetheoryinbookslikemachinedesignintopracticeforthefirsttime.Iwasmainlyresponsibleforthedesignofchassis,whiletakingchargeofthefinancialissuesofthewholeteam.Seriousandresponsible,Imanagedtomaintainazeroerrorrecord.Afterhardworkofseveralmonthsworkingwithteammates,tremendoussenseofaccomplishmentfilledmewhenourcarranontheF1ShanghaiTrack.Juniorsummer,IworkedinFreescalecamerateamtoparticipateintheannualcontest,andfinallywegotfirstplaceinEastDivision,seventhinnationalcompetition.Ididnotfallinlovewithfinanceatthefirstsight,butdevelopedmyinterestgraduallythroughmyunderstandingaboutit.Myfatherenteredintothestockmarketatthebulltimein2007.ThisiswhenIstartstocareaboutfinanceandbecomescuriousaboutthenumbersaswellasthedriversbehindthem.So,IstartedtolearnmoreaboutthemarketthroughtheinsightsprovidedbyAdamSmithinhisbookCausesofthewealthofnationsandbyMankwininMacroeconomic.Then,Iinvestigatedeeplyintoseveralbusinesscasesandbuildupmymodelsthatcalculatethechangeofthesupplyanddemandcurves.Duringmystudy,Ibecomepassionateaboutthebeautyoffinanceandeconomics.Therapidexpansionoffinanceindustryenergizesthecapitalmarketsandpushestheeconomytogrowasawhole.Asaresult,financeplaysacentralroleinresourceallocationandthusbecomesthemaintoolusedbygovernmenttoadjustmacroeconomy,especiallytostabilizetheeconomyconditionandavoidinflation.Secondmajorinaccountingprovidesanexcellentopportunityformetosystematicallystudyknowledgeofthiskind.Ihavealreadyfinishedmanycourses,includingMacroMicroEconomics,Management,operationalresearch,HumanResourcesManagement,accounting,administrativeaccounting,etc.The2010ExpoisheldfromMay1st,2010toOctober31st,2010inShanghai,China.Manyvisitorshavegreatinterestsincertainpopularpavilions.Whileonepavilioncanonlyholdcertainnumberofvisitorsatonetime,itisverycommonthatthereisalwaysalongqueueoutsidethesepavilions.Iwastheresufferingfromthereallylongqueues.AftermyvisittoExpo,Ihavebeenthinkingaboutwhatwillhappenifwehavetradethepositioninaqueueusingmoney.SoIsetupamathematicmodeltoanalysisthisproblem.Thestatementisenclosedtomyapplicationmaterials.IfIcangetachancetofurthermygraduatestudyinPekingUniversityHSBCSchoolofBusiness,iwillkeepmypassionfortheacademicresearchwork,focusmoreaboutpracticalsocietyproblems,paymoreattentiontoworkinascientificwayandassisttutorswithalldifferentprojectwork.AtthisstageofmyundergraduatestudyIonlyhaveslightapprehensionsofdifferentfinancialpoliciesandinstruments.Iwanttolearnallthefinanceknowledgeinamoresystematicway.DuringmygraduatestudyIwilltrymybesttodigmuchmoreintofinancebooksandacademicmaterialsfrombothhomeandabroadandgetfamiliarwiththehistoryofglobalfinancemarketanddifferentfinancetheories.Iwilldevotemyselftoproduceacademicpapersofhighqualitytoexpressmyideasandopinionsaboutfinance.IhopeaftermygraduatestudyIcouldbecomeanoutstandingexpertandenterdepartmentslikeCSRCorCBRCtodemonstratemygiftinfinancearea.申请人签名：日期：年月日
