Unit9Whatdoeshelooklike?PeriodOne厦门双十中学初中英语组苏志强一、教学目标:知识目标:熟练掌握由What引导的用于询问他人外貌的特殊疑问句:Whatdoeshelooklike?描述人物外貌的形容词:tall,short,ofmediumheight,heavy,thin,ofmediumbuild,long,short,straight,curly,handsome,beautiful……技能目标:学会从身高、身材、头发和其他特征四个方面描述一个人的外貌。情感态度:了解关注身边的人,能够描述他人的长相。学会尊重别人,不以貌取人。二、教学重点、难点:What引导的特殊疑问句。表示外貌特点的形容词。描述人物外貌时be动词和have的用法。三、教学方法及手段:任务型教学,小组活动,趣味活动等。四、课程安排:Step1:Leadin:运用学生的兴趣—动画人物,进行导入:T:Todaywewillhaveanewunit,beforethenewunit,Ihaveaquestionforyou:“Doyoulikecartoons?”Ss:Yes.T:Ifyoulikecartoons,Ithinkyoumayknowthem.Pleaselookatthesepictures.Whoarethey?Ss:柯南,工藤新一。T:Whatarethedifferencesbetweenthem?Oneisshort,theotheristall.Inthislesson,wewilltalkabouthowtodescribeaperson’slook.Step2:Howtodescribeapersonfrom“height”?以学生熟悉的人物图片为素材进行如何描述身高的教学:WhatdoesYaoMinglooklike?Heistall.WhatdoesJetLeelooklike?Heisshort.Ifthereisaman,heisnottallorshort,howdowedescribehim?Wecansayheisofmediumheight.操练:带读,齐读,男生问女生答,互换角色,个别提问。Step3:Howtodescribeapersonfrom“build”?Whatdoeshelooklike?Heisheavy.Whatdoeshelooklike?Heisthin.Whatdoeshelooklike?Heisofmediumbuild.操练:带读,齐读,齐问齐答,A组问B组答,互换。Step4:Describeapersonfrom“height”and“build”.从语法上讲,身高和身材都是用be动词表示的,刚刚学完的这两个方面放在一起进行练习,让学生从感知到熟练。T:Sofar,wehavelearnedhowtodescribeapersonfromtwoaspects:heightandbuild,nowIwillgivetwominutestopracticetheconversationwithyourpartner,youcandescribeanyoneyoulike,aftertwominutes,Iwillcallsomepairstohaveashow.让学生进行小组练习,在练习的过程中,发现问题,解决问题。要求学生讨论任何一个自己想描述的人,对学过的知识进行简单的应用。Step5:Howtodescribeapersonfrom“hair”?采取picturetalking的方式:Whatdoesshelooklike?Shehaslonghair.Shehasshorthair.Whatdoesshelooklike?Shehasstraighthair.Shehascurlyhair.Whatdoesshelooklike?Shehaslongstraighthair.Shehasshortcurlyhair.Step6:Describeaperson’shair.利用pairwork进行头发描述。注意与身高和身材进行区别:be和have的区别。T:Lookatthesepictures,youhave2minutestotalkabouttheirhair,thenIwillaskyoutodescribetheirhairpairbypair.Pairwork:A:Whatdoeshe/shelooklike?B:He/shehas……hair.Step7:Describeapersonfrom“height”“build”and“hair”.将已经学过的三个方面结合起来,从身高身材头发三个方面描述一个人:注意检查be和have的使用有无错误。教师准备名人图片,让学生进行外貌的描述,从身高,身材,头发三个方面入手。通过练习让学生对学过的知识达到更熟悉的程度。Step8:Listeningpractice:Listenanddraw:将传统听音填表的听力训练进行改编:听对话描述,让学生抓住关键词,并用简笔画的方式将人物画出来,看谁画的漂亮,利用此活动,检验学生对前面所学知识的掌握情况,活跃课堂气氛。调动学生的积极性。T:Iwillgiveyouthreedescriptionsofthreepeople,let’slistenandcatchthekeywords,thendrawthethreepersonsdownonyourtaskpaper.Step9:除了身高,身材,头发以外的其他特征描述教学:T:Let’slookatthepicture,WecanseeConanwearsglasses,andhehasbigeyesandsmallnoseandmouth,IthinkConanisveryhandsome.其他特征的描述:wearglasses,big/smalleyes,big/smallnose,mouth,ears,handsome/beautifulStep10:GuessingGame:Whoishe/she?教师针对班级的个别同学进行描述,其他同学猜,老师描述的是谁?通过此活动检验学生针对前面所学的知识的掌握情况,并活跃课堂气氛,调动学生的积极性,同时为后面的写作任务做好范例铺垫。T:Heisoneofmyfavoritestudentsinourclass,heisshortandheisthin.Hehasshortstraighthair.Hewearsglasses.Hestudieswell.Thestudentsalllikehim.Whoishe?T:Student2’sdescription.T:Student3’sdescription.Step11:Summary:针对本节课所学的内容进行知识点的总结:结合板书:Height:tall,short,ofmediumheight.Build:heavy,thin,ofmediumbuild.Hair:long,short,straight,curlyhair.Others:wearglasses,bigeyes,smallnose,handsome/beautiful.Step12:Task:T:Whoisyourfavoriteteacher?Pleasedescribehimfromfouraspectsthatwehavelearnedinthislesson,writeitdown,thenIwillcallsomeofyoutoshareyourpassage.让学生利用本节课所学到的知识来从身高身材头发和其他特征方面来描述自己的老师,这是本节课的最终任务,从贯穿整节课的口头练习,最终落在笔头的写作训练上,最后还要求学生朗读自己的文章,与其他人进行分享,从中发现问题并解决问题。真正达到学有所用的目的。
