Prejudiceistheworstevilofman–mythoughtsonPrideandPrejudiceAfterreadingPrideandPrejudice,Ihaveakindofboundlessfeeling.Thecharactersinthebookseemtoliveinmyheart,andtheyallseemtocomeouttobebymyside.Moreover,shortcomingsofthemonebyonewerereflectedbypeoplearoundme.Withtheendofthebook,thecharactersinthebookeachhaveadifferentending,whichalsoseemsfullofvariables;however,Istilllikewhatattractmeanddislikethosedisgustme.ThewholebookbeginswiththestoryoftheBennetsandalsoendswiththefamilylifeoftheBennets,andinthemiddlethewholebookdescribestheemotionalentanglementsbetweentheyoungmenandwomen.Besides,theremarksandtheattitudesofthepeoplearoundtheBennets,alsofromonesidereflectsthesocialformofthattime-theprejudicethatexistsatalltimesbetweenpeople,andthearroganceoftheupperstratum.Theendofthestoryisreallysatisfactory,buttheprocessisextremelybumpy.Throughoutthetext,almosteveryonehasabiastootherspreciselybecauseofwhich,thestorytwistsandturn.Forpeoplewhohavesuspicions,therewillnotbeanylosswhereasthosewhoweresuspectedhavetoliveintheshadowsandcannotunderstandwhytheygetuneventreatment.Darcyseemstobesucharolebecausethecharacterfromchildhoodisbroughtuptofeelarrogantthatlotsofpeopleareparroting,wishingtheycouldhaveputmoredemeaningonhim.Butnooneiswillingtoputasidetheirownprejudicesandunderstandtheauthenticityoftheserumors.EvenElizabethwhodetestsunfairthings,becomestohateDarcyandthinkstherumorisnaturallytruejustbecauseDarcydoesn’tinvitehertodance.Foralongperiodoftime,ElizabethwithprejudicecommunicateswithDarcy.Atthesametime,becauseofprejudice,DarcyhelpsBingleymakethewrongdecisiontonotmarryJane’seldersister,resultingintheloveofJaneandBingleyalmostdied.Naturally,nothinggoodresultcomesbetweenDarcyandElizabethbutmutualdisgustandmoreprejudices.AsfarasIamconcerned,IalwaysthinkthatIamareasonableperson,butseeingsomedescriptionsofthebookIcannothelpbutfeelsomeexaggeration.HoweverwhenIfinishthewholebookIfindthatI,morethanonce,producedsuspicionanddisgusttoDarcy.ThingsbecomedifferentwhenIfindoutthatDarcywasmisunderstoodandIfeelregretformyownprejudice.Prejudicecomesfrompeople’ssubjections,orisclosetotheattitudesofpeople.Somepeoplearereadytohaveaprejudiceagainstpeopleorthingsbecauseoftheirownsubjection,ormorespecifically,becauseofidealism.Thesepeoplearewillingtoevaluatethingswiththeirownideatobethefoundation.Forexample,MissBingleyneverfailstobemalicioustoElizabeth,evenJean.Inthefinalanalysis,shejustdoesn'twanttofindthetruthwithherowneyes,orshedoesn'tcareaboutwhatkindofresultthisprejudicewillhave–ifithasnothingtodowithherself,it’ssurelygood,andifitcanbringherinterests,it’smuchbetter.Andtheotherkindofmanistoostupidtobelievepeople’sspeechorattitudeasMr.Bingley,excessivelybelievingDarcy'sopinion.Forhisownsuspicions,healmostmissedhistruelove.Elizabethisthesame,sheismorewillingtobewithWickham,andbecomesmoreandmorehatefultoDarcy.Thebookembodiestheperson'smoodsallthetimeandgraduallyproducesacutecontradictions,makingreadershavetochoseapositionandthentakeatumbleofconsciousnesstothefactthatheshouldalsobeinfectedwithprejudiceemotions.Butwhetherthebookmakesapersoninfectedwiththeseemotions,oremotionalitselfexistsandonlybooksmakeyourmoretrueexpressioncomesout,bringsvariousopinionsofdifferentreaders.
