散文翻译练习一Thisisadeliciousevening,whenthewholebodyisonesense,andimbibesdelightthrougheverypore.IgoandcomewithastrangelibertyinNature,apartofherself.AsIwalkalongthestonyshoreofthepondinmyshirt-sleeves,thoughitiscoolaswellascloudyandwindy,andIseenothingspecialtoattractme,alltheelementsareunusuallycongenialtome.Thebullfrogstrumptousherinthenight,andthenoteofthewhip-poor-willisborneontheripplingwindfromoverthewater.Sympathywiththeflutteringalderandpoplarleavesalmosttakesawaymybreath;yet,likethelake,myserenityisrippledbutnotruffled.Thesesmallwavesraisedbytheeveningwindareasremotefromstormasthesmoothreflectingsurface.Thoughitisnowdark,thewindstillblowsandroarsinthewood,thewavesstilldash,andsomecreatureslulltherestwiththeirnotes.Thereposeisnevercomplete.Thewildestanimalsdonotrepose,butseektheirpreynow;thefox,andskunk,andrabbit,nowroamthefieldsandwoodswithoutfear.TheyareNature’swatchmen--linkswhichconnectthedaysofanimatedlife.
