ManDoesNotLiveByBreadAloneItiswidelyacknowledgedthattheextremelybasicproblemwefaceinourlifeisbreadandclothes.Weneedthemtogetfed,clothedandsheltered.Butmandoesnotlivebybreadalone.Ontheonehand,weneedbreadtoexist.Ontheotherhand,wealsoneedspiritualsatisfactiontomakeourlifefullofgorgeouscolor.Aboveall,materialthingarecrucialforman'sexistence.Onlywhenoursimplyinnerdesiresformaterialthingsaresatisfied,mayweconsidertheotherthing.Itcanbringatemporaryandshort-termhappinessandgiveusanextravagantlifestyle.Whenwestandonthepointofviewofthehungry,wewouldrathersparenoefforttoseekfoodthantalkingsomethingaboverecentcondition.However,itcannotbringusthetruehappinessbecausewewillnotbesatisfiedwithit.Ifwehadonethousanddollars,wewouldbeeagertogettwothousanddollars.Ifwegotit,wewouldhaveadesireformore.So,astheoldsayinggoes,weeattolivebutlivenottoeat.Thatistosay,breadisonlyasupportforustoliveourlife.Soweneedpursueahigherlevelofspiritualsatisfaction,whichcangiveuseverythingoutsideournecessitiesandmakeourlifemeaningful.Mandoesnotlivebybreadalone,butbybeautyandharmony,truthandgoodness,workandrecreation,affectionandfriendship,aspirationandworship,lovingandbeingloved.Only,withthosethings,canyoufeelyouarefulledwithwhatyouwant.Soweshouldestablishfriendship,findlove,workhardforourdreamsandsomethinglikethis.Fromwhathasbeendiscussedabove,wemayreasonablyarriveattheconclusionthatbreadisincrediblyessential,foryouneedittosurvive.Butitisnottheonlything,whichyouonlyneedinyourwonderfullife,andthemoneyitselfwillnotbringlastinghappinesstomostpeople.Sothereisnodoubtthatmandoesnotlivebybreadalone.
