Dearjudges,Goodafternoon!Todayit’smyhonortopresentmylessonhere.Inordertomakemypresentationmuchclearer,I’lltalkaboutfromfollowingfouraspects:teachingbackground,teachingandlearningmethods,teachingprocedureandblackboarddesign.NowI’mgoingtopresentthemonebyone.First,pleasefollowmetomyteachingbackground,includingtheanalysisofteachingmaterial,thestudents’situation,theteachingobjectivesandtheteachingimportantanddifficultpoints.Theteachingmaterial:thislessonisfromLet’sspell,Unit4,Book3PEP.It’smainlyaboutthepronunciationruleofu-e.Ithinkstudentsshouldnotonlylearntoread,butalsolearntocatchthepronunciationrules,whichwillhelpthemtolayasoundfoundationfortheirfutureEnglishstudy.IntermsofthestudentsinGrade4,theystillholdgreatinterestintheworldaroundthem,sotheywillbeverycuriousandactiveintheclass.However,theyarestilllackofconcentration,whichwillleadtotheirdistractionduringthelearningprocess.Basedonmyanalysisofteachingmaterialandstudents’situation,Idecidemyteachingobjectivesasbelow.Thefirstisknowledgeandskillobjective:allthestudentscanmasterthepronunciationruleofu-eandcorrectlyreadthewordsincludingu-e,suchasuse,cute,excuse.Thesecondistheprocessandmethodobjective:throughperformances,studentscanarousethesenseoflearningEnglishwordsbypronunciationrules.Thelastisemotion,attitudeandvalueobjective:inspirestudents’interestoflearningEnglishandthespiritofcooperationandcompetition.Accordingtomyteachingobjectives,Idecidemyteachingimportantanddifficultpointsasfollow.Theimportantoneisthepronunciationruleofu-ewhilethedifficultpointisthedistinctionbetweenthepronunciationsofu-eandu.Consideringthestudents’characteristics,Iwilladoptdirectteachingmethodandphonicteachingmethod.Besides,inordertoarouseeverystudent’sinterest,Idesignthislessonasacompetitionbetweenboysandgirls.Eachteamwhichdoeswellcangetonepoint.Intheend,theteamwhichgetsmorepointswillbethewinner.Thus,inthislesson,studentswilllearnbycooperationandcompetition.Duringthelesson,themultimediawillbeneeded.Nextpleasemovetomyteachingprocedure,whichisdividedtofiveparts.Part1:WarmingupAtthebeginningoftheclass,Iwillleadstudentstoreviewfivevowels,a,e,i,o,u.Afterthat,boysandgirlswillcompetetosaythewords,whichcontainthesounds,a-e[ei],a[æ],i-e[aɪ],i[i],o-u[əʊ],o[ɔ].通过男女生竞答来复习包含三组对比音[ei]-[æ],[aɪ]-[i],[əʊ]-[ɔ]的单词,有助于学生形成迁移思维来理解本课的重难点:重点是带了小尾巴e的单词中,u发本身的字母音[ju:],没有带小尾巴e的单词中,u一般发[ʌ]。对这两者的区分,则是本课的难点。Part2:PresentationI’llpresentthepictureandtwoquestions“Look!Howmanycats?”and“Howmanyballs?”tointroducethechantofthislesson.Studentslikechantverymuch,sotheywillpracticeithappily,(播放歌谣)Afterstudentsanswerthequestions,I’llleadthemtocatchtwokeywordsinthechant:“cute,use”andaddonesimilarword:“excuse”.I’llemphasisthepronunciationofu-eis[ju:],andshowthreepicturesforstudentstounderstandthemeaningsofthewords,meanwhile,usethephonicteachingmethodtosharetheirpronunciations.Afterthat,Iwillputthreewordstogether,askstudentstoobservecarefully.Then,boysandgirlswillcompetetoconcludethepronunciationruleofu-e.介于四年级学生学习英语的时间仅一年,对英语的理解和运用能力有限,因此我采用直接法由本课的chant引出两个关键词cute,use以及直接介绍一个类似词excuse。通过三张图片让学生了解这三个单词的意思,通过直拼法让学生学会这三个单词的发音。随后将三个单词纳总,引导学生仔细观察,通过男女生竞答来揭示带小尾巴e的单词中u的发音规律。Todistinguishthepronunciationsofu-e[ju:]andu[ʌ],Iwilllistthewordsincludingthesound[ʌ]forstudentstoreview:cut,bus,cupandup.Thenboysandgirlswillcompetetofinishtheexerciseasfollow(备注:PPT20页的习题).通过列举没带小尾巴e的单词中u发[ʌ],并且男女竞争完成相关的区分练习,可以让学生清晰的了解到,在一般情况下,带了小尾巴e单词中,u发本身的字母音[ju:],没带小尾巴e的单词中,u发[ʌ]。Part3:PracticeIdesigntwoactivitiesforthestudentstopracticethenewknowledge.Thefirstispairwork.Pairsofstudentswillusethewordsinthislessontomakeadialogue.Onepairfromeachgroupwillcometothefronttoshowtheirdialogue.Forexample,theycanmakeadialoguelikethis:—Excuseme!CanIuseyourcutecup?—Hereyouare.Inthisway,theycanfullypractisethekeyword.通过搭档运用本课关键词自编对话,并且上台表演,即可锻炼学生运用知识的能力,又可培养其竞争与合作意识。ThesecondisthatstudentswillfinishtheexercisesinListencircleandsayandListencircleandwrite.Inthiscourse,studentscandosomethingbythemselves.It’simportantforstudentstolearnbythemselves.AndIthinkit’sbettertotastethantobetold.Whentheymakesomemistakes,it’stimeformetocorrectandemphasize.I’monlythehelper.在课堂上留出给学生自主练习的时间是很重要的。在这个过程中,教师仅仅充当帮助学生纠正错误的角色。当所有的习题核对完后,可以请学生对本课的重难点进行总结。这样,新知识才能真正被学生理解和掌握。Part4,ExtensionThiswillthethelastcompetitionbetweenboysandgirls.Oneboyandonegirlwillberepresentatives,whowillplayRock-Paper-Scissorstochoosewhichexercisetofinish.Themorerightanswerstheymake,themorepointstheycanget.Exerciseone:distinguishthesameordifferentsounds:[ju:][ʌ]Exercisetwo:putthesame“apples”intothesamebasket.本课的拓展活动设计为男女生的最后一场竞技。男女双方各派一名代表,通过石头剪刀布来决定习题的优先选择权。答对的越多,得分越高。这两道习题是对本课重难点的总结概括,可以帮助学生巩固理解和掌握本课的重难点。Part5HomeworkFindmorewordincludingu-eandu,eitherfromthedictionaryortheinternet,andsharewithyourclassmatesnexttime.家作:从字典或者网络中查找更多包含u-e和u的单词,下节课与同学共享。Thelastismyblackboarddesign,simpleandclear.That’sallformypresentation.Thankyouforlistening!(参赛者:24号)
