广西师范大学硕士学位论文现代新儒家文艺美学思想研究姓名:吴锋申请学位级别:硕士专业:美学指导教师:朱寿兴20070401IIIIIIResearchingontheModernNeo-ConfucianAestheticsofLiteraryandArtThoughtGraduate:WuFengTutor:Prof.ZhuShouxingSpeciality:AestheticsResearchdirection:AestheticsofLiteraryandArtGrade:2004AbstractThemodernNeo-Confucianisaveryimportantacademiccommunityinourhistoryofacademic.Ontheonehand,theygivetheiraccenttolearnadvancetechnologyandculturefromWest;ontheotherhand,theyopposedtolearnallthethingsfromWest.Theyinsistwecouldnotadoptthemethodofbreakingofftraditionalculturecompletely.Theyarenotagroupwhoclingtotheremainsofoldideas,butaremodernintellectualmenwhoareknowledgeableaboutboththeEastandtheWest.TheygoouttheWesternlearningandreturntotheConfucianism.TheydevotetothetransformationfromChinesetraditionalculturetothemoderntheory.TheaestheticsofliteraryandartisanimportantconstituentoftheacademicthoughtsofthemodernNeo-Confucianscholars,andisconsistentwiththeirbasicacademicstandpoint.Butatpresentthemodernscholarsathomemakelittleaccountoftheaestheticsofliteraryandart.ThethoughtaboutaestheticsofliteraryandartofmodernNeo-Confucianscholar'sisconsistentwiththehumanitiesspiritcontainedinChinatraditionalculture.TheythinkthatChinatraditionalculturecontainsvaluablehumanitiesspirit,whichistheessenceofChinesetraditionalculture,andwhichisalsoexpressedintheclassicalaesthetic.“Perfection”isoneoftheConfucianviewsofliteraryartsallthetime.ThemodernNeo-Confucianscholarsmakenewexplanationforthispropositionunifyingthewesternphilosophythought,thusmakeitwithstrongmetaphysicalcolor.Afterthecontactwithwesternmodernphilosophy,themodernNeo-Confucianscholarsholdtheideathat“thelife”takesanimportantpositioninChinaancientesthetics.Comparingwiththewest,lifeestheticsiscompletelydifferentinChina,theChinatraditionalcultureisacultureof“valuinglife”whichcanbefoundthesourceinZhouYi.Manyimportantpropositionsarerelatedto“thelife”theoryinChinesetraditionalliteraturetheory.LiangshumingXiongshiliandMuzongsan,theyallattachgreatimportancetotheunderstandingofChinesetraditionalculturefromtheperspectiveoflife.AndFangDongmeievenhasconstructedhisownPhilosophyofLife—acompletephilosophysystem.ConfucianphilosophyisatheoryofmoodanditisthehabitualmethodforConfuciandiscussingartsfromthemoodperspective.ForNeo-Confucian,studyingandexplainingConfucianismandthecoreofChineseculturefromtheperspectiveofthatmoodisaConsensusfortheNeo-Confucian,discussingaestheticsofliteraryandartsfromtheperspectiveofmoodistoregardartaslife’sperformanceandreflection.Thecoreofworkshascloserelationwithitsauthor.Inthisway,theviewoftheartsandthatofuniverseandphilosophyareunifiedasawhole.ThemeritsaretoIVmaintaintheharmonyoftheorywhichisanAcademicfeatureofmodernNeo-Confucianism.ThefourpointsreferredabovearethebasicfeaturesintheaestheticthoughtofNeo-Confucian’swhichisaCriticalinheritanceformchinatraditionalaestheticsofliteraryandart,andwhichisnotsimplypersistwithoutchange,theyaredevelopedandcompletedbythewayofabsorbingwesternmodernphilosophythoughtanddeepthinking.TheNeo-Confucian’sthoughtofaestheticsofliteraryandartisvaluabletotheconstructionofournationaltasteofdiscourse.The“aphasiaofaestheticsistheperformanceoffactfacingsortsofwesternliterarytheoryandaesthetics,Chineseliterarytheoryhaslostitself.Innewcentury,themostimportanttaskofaestheticsworkersandartworkersistheextricationofthisawkwardposition,andthereconstructionofournationalaestheticstasteofdiscourse.Theachievementsgetourattention.ThefourpointsmentionedabovearetheQuintessenceoftheresultswhichtheNeo-ConfuciangetfromtheirresearchonChinesetraditionalaestheticsofliteraryandart.Thesepointsrepresentthefeaturesofourtraditionalaestheticsofliteraryandart,whichderivefromtheChinesetraditionalcultureandwhichcanrepresenttheaestheticsfeaturesofournation.Meanwhile,theresearchmethodsinaestheticsofliteraryandartofmodernNeo-Confuciansarealsoworthourlearning.ButtheyinsistthattheylearnfromtheWesttoreconstructtheChinesecultureinahigherlevel,andintroducewesternthoughttoConfucian.TheirpurposeoflearningwesternthoughtistoreconstructChineseculture.TheyareallintheirboundendutytopromotingChineseculture.Theyallcommittedtoexploringthesourceofthelimbolifeofcultureandthelong-losttrulyspiritsofConfucian;andcommittedtopromotetheChinesetraditionalcultureinastrongsenseofculturemission.Inspecificmethods,firstlytheQuintessenceoftraditionalcultureshouldbemodernizedinacreativeway.ItisthebasicmethodforNeo-ConfucianinthenewhistoricalconditionstraditionalChineseculturewhosemainbodyisConfuciancultureshouldbereexamined,thevaluablethoughtofthiscultureshouldbedevelopedandenriched,atthesametime,theoutdateddrosspartofwhichshouldbediscarded,thisisalsothereasonwhytheyarenamedCulturalconservatives.Secondly,thecultureexchangewiththewesterncultureshouldbeonanequalbasis.MostoftheNeo-ConfuciansarelearnedfrombothChinesetraditionalcultureandwesternculture,andtheyhavestudiedonthewesternculturedeeply,buttheydonotbecomeself-contemptandlookdownuponourtraditionalculture,theyintroducethewesternculturetoConfucian,andcarryoninterculturaldialoguewiththewestern
