TheinformationofXuTelimemorialhall(simplifiedversion)一、HistoryChangshanormaluniversityheldthe105thanniversaryofthebirthofxuteliassemblyinFebruary1982.Afterthemeeting,thememorialroomwasopenedofficiallytothepublic.In1986,theGeneralSecretaryoftheCentralCommitteeoftheCommunistPartyofChina----HuYaobangpersonallymadethenameInJuly2010,thememorialhallwasapprovedtobethethirdprovincialBaseforPatriotismEducationbythePublicityDepartmentofHunanProvince.二、PrefaceHall（thePartyandstateleadersshowedrespectforhim）1.twopreciouslettersoneofthemisfromchairmanMao,onJanuary30,1937,xuteli’s60thbirthday,inletters,heextoled“youweremyteacher20yearsago,youstillareandwillbealways.”“revolutionfirst,workfirstandpublicfirst”.TheotherisfromtheCentralCommitteeoftheCommunistPartyofChina,inJanuary,theypraisedthatXuTeliisanoutstandingRevolutionaryeducationist2.Thefollowingisthecentralfivesecretaries(MaoZedong,ZhouEnlai,ZhuDe,LiuShaoji,RenBishiandPengDehuai)tomarshalXu'sinscription.“Anoldstrongsoldier”byMaoZedong“Thelightofpeople，thegloryoftheparty”byZhouEnlai“GloryofCCP”byLiuShaoji三、Therevolutionaryhero,thecurrentsaintpart(showingthegloriouslifeofXuTeli)1.Poortoread,educatetosave(1877-1927Changshaperiod)ComradeXuTeliwasbeeninapeasantfamilylocatedinChangshacounty,whenhewas9,hetookabout6sixyearstolearninanold-styleprivateschool.Hestartedtheearliesteducationalactivitywhenhewas18.Inordertostudy,hesoldhisallfamilysilver.28yearsofhisage,hewasadmittedtoNingxiangnormaluniversity,aftergraduating,hefoundedaprimaryschoolwithhisfriends.atthattime,hereallystartedhisownteachercareer.InDecember1909,hewasinvitedbyaprimaryschooltodeliveraspeech,inthatspeech,hewassoextemporizedtotalkCrimescommittedcausedbyimperialismthathecutoffhislittlefinger.Thismovementarousedpassionsofyoungstudentsgreatly.WhenpresidentMaorecalledthematters,healsosaidthatit’sthefirsttimeforhimtorecognizerevolution.Theperiod1913-1919,hewasateacherinHunanfirstnormaluniversity,itwasatthattime,hebecamechairmanMao’steacher,alsothemostrespectiveteacher.In1924,.hestudiedbacktochinafromFrance,inthesameyear,heestablishedChangshawomannormaluniversity(today’sChangshanormaluniversity).2.Jointherevolution,FightNorthandSouth(Nanchang,Ruijin,duringtheLongMarch1927-1935)InJuly1927，comradeXuTeliwasdispatchbytheCentralCommitteeoftheCommunistPartytoattendNanchangUprising.In1931,heattendedThefirstNationalCongressoftheSovietRepublicofChina,andelectedasmembersofthepeople'sCommitteeofthedemocraticgovernmentofworkersandpeasants.In1934,heparticipatedinthesecondNationalCongressoftheChineseSovietRepublic,andhewaselectedasamemberofthecentralexecutivecommittee,andservedasviceministeroftheMinistryofeducation.SinceMinisterQuQiubaiisnotinShanghai,theMinistryofeducationisactuallyresponsiblefortheXuTeli.InOctober1934,XuTeliwas58yearsold,buthestillwiththeCentralRedArmytoparticipateinthetwenty-fivethousandmilelongmarch,obviously,hewastheteam's‘mostveterans’.Ontheexpedition，comradeXuTelioftendedicatedhishorsetotookmilitarymaterialsorthesick，andheadheredtotheirownwalk,abouttwentythousandmiles.3.Heaimedtoeducateforthecountry(1935-1949borderarea)InOctober1935,XuwiththecentralredarmyarrivedinNorthernShaanxi,afterthat,heservedastheSovietgovernmentalMinisterofeducation(officeoftheNorthwest)ShaanxiGansuNingxiaborderregiongovernmentministerforeducation,andleadtheregionaleducationwork.XuTelihadtwoseparatephotoswithchairmanMao,oneisinYananWayaopaoin1936theotherisinthemeetingoftheCommunistPartyofChinaduringthe1945.InNovember1937,XuwasappointedonbehalfoftheEightRouteArmystationedinHunan.InHunan,hewidelypublicizedtheparty'sprinciplesandpolicies,tocarryoutvariousactivitiesofsalvation.XuTelisupportedactivelyhisfamilytoparticipateintherevolution.Hehadtwosons,andhissonsalsowerepatriots,buttheybothdiedofillnessunfortunately.andhisdaughter-in-lawLiuCuiyingLaterrenamedXudry,shehadbeenaccompaniedbyXuoldasherdaughter,TheoldXuisanextremelydemandingman,heoncetoldhisgranddaughter–XuYuqiangsaid:youngpeoplehasalongwaytogo,nottoinheritproperty,buttocompletedtherevolutionthatthepredecessorshadnotcompleted.InAugust1940,XureturnedtoYanan,inOctober,heservedasDeanoftheYananAcademyofnaturalsciences,andtrainedalargenumberoftechnicalpeoplefortheanti-Japanese.PremierLiPeng,vicechairmanoftheNinthCPPCCNationalCommitteeYeXuanping,scientistsPengShilu,RenXiangareoldXu’sstudents.In1942,heservedasDeputyministeroftheCPCCentralCommitteePropagandaDepartment.InFebruary1,1947,his70thbirthday,theCPCCentralCommitteesentalettertoMaoZedong,ZhouEnlai,LiuShaoji,ZhuDe,PengDehuaiandothercentralleaders.theyallhavetheinscriptiontohisbirthday.4.HebendshisbacktothePartyandhiseducationalcareer.(Beijingperiod1949-1968)InMarch1949,XuwiththecentralauthoritiesinBeijing.afternewChinawasfounded，heservedastheCPPCCNationalCommittee,MemberoftheCentralPeople'sGovernment,ViceMinisterofthePropagandaDepartmentoftheCPCCentralCommittee,MemberoftheStandingCommitteeoftheNationalPeople'sCongressandsoon.XuTelialsoattendedameetingoftheCPPCCNationalCommittee,andhewaselectedtotheCentralPeople'sgovernmentcommit
